Family Testimonials
I moved into Rosebank Village from my family home in April 2026, my husband is in care at Rosebank. I have experienced both sides of our community. The care and compassion shown to my husband by the staff have given me complete peace of mind. He is so well cared for, and knowing he is happy and safe reassures me that moving to Rosebank was the right decision.
I love my villa. It’s warm, spacious, and beautifully presented, I am proud to welcome my family and friends into my home.
Since moving here, I’ve joined several groups in our community centre and have made wonderful new friendships. I also love our location, directly opposite the Ashburton Domain, making it easy to enjoy the outdoors.
One of the things I appreciate most about Rosebank is its friendly close-knit community. With only 27 villas and private ownership, you’re never just another number. Everyone knows each other and there is a genuine sense of belonging.
I feel incredibly fortunate to call Rosebank Village home.

If you are competitive about how you live, this is not for you. We are all encouraged to get to know one and other and look out for one another. When my wife passed away suddenly, my children came with me to take a look at the village, I needed to make a decision, I lived in a 4 bedroom house and my children live out of town soI needed to make a change. It was decided to come into the village, my villa is situated on Creek Road, it is an extremely handy location, I’m one of the few males in here currently, but I’m happy amongst the ladies as there is no hierarchy standings here. We get together on a Friday for a social drink and catch up, and there is always a trip to be had during the week, it’s up to you whether you go on them or not.
Moving from my quarter-acre section into a Rosebank Villa was a big change, but I couldn’t be happier. After having back surgery, it is such a relief not having to worry about maintaining the grounds anymore. I was able to bring my support carer and cleaner with me, which helped me feel very welcome in the community.
I enjoy the exercise classes organized by our village coordinator. I’m not someone who mixes a lot, but I truly appreciate feeling safe and comfortable living here at my Rosebank Villa.
Several years ago I purchased a Rosebank Villa, this proved to be a wise decision. It was meant to be. My life became a lot easier, as I enjoy living amongst so many friends. Independent but they are there if required. There is also lawn mowing done for me, outside of windows cleaned, small maintenance jobs and lots of activities. Cards are another pleasant activity. That is not to forget the bus rides to many places for lunch – Staveley, Woodbury, Leeston, Hororata, Lincoln and lots of others. Sometimes we patronize the Ashburton lunch venues. As well we have the Happy Hour on Friday evenings, a good chance to catch up with the other residents.
When my husband and I moved into Rosebank Village, we couldn’t be happier. It has been wonderful to discover how convenient and enjoyable the location is. We love being able to walk through the Ashburton Domain and take advantage of the sports facilities available there. The Village is only a short walk to the Ashburton Art Gallery, the Library and nearby shops.
We’ve especially enjoyed the community centre, which is perfect for hosting private family functions and gatherings. The social programme organized by the village coordinator has been excellent and has helped create a friendly and welcoming community.
Rosebank Village suits me particularly well, as it supports a healthy and active lifestyle. While we maintain involvement in community clubs, I enjoy that there are plenty of opportunities to socialize within the village. It’s a lovely balance of independence, community, and social activities whenever we choose to join in.
I love being here, I worked for Rosebank for 30 years and knew this is where I wanted to have my Villa, it’s a special place, my family are very happy I choose this place. Any time I’ve wanted any maintenance done, it is just so efficient.
Ever since moving into my villa, everyone has been so friendly, just so welcoming, I love heading out on the organized trips, the social side, the crafts and the exercises. I didn’t know how much Id enjoy looking out the window to my garden knowing it will all be taken care off. I only wished I had moved in earlier.
I’m so entrenched living here in my new one-bedroom care suite, I don’t want to leave, I head out to do my errands in town and cant wait to return home, Im so well looked after. I love listening to the music and entertainment. I really enjoy heading out in the van with other residents.
